Things to Think About When Shopping

Hi there friends!

We know you know how to shop, but could you do better at helping to support local businesses? Here’s a quick and helpful checklist of things to think about when you’re out.

Morning Coffee: Are you blindly buying from the the big corporate chain? Stop that and go to a locally owned coffee shop!

Lunch Out: Are you searching out a local restaurant or healthy takeout spot that supports your community? Money spent with local business stays Having a beer from Block3locally.

After Work Drinks: Treat your work buddies to a round at a local bar that sells local craft beers. Your taste buds will thank you!

Enjoying a locally brewed beer!

Grabbing Groceries: Buy your groceries at a local market or butcher. Fresh food is best and your family will thank you!

An Evening Out: Check out a local cinema like the Princess in Waterloo.

Dessert: Satisfy your sweet tooth cravings with a yummy treat from a local bakery.

Obviously we are not able to eat out every meal or go to the movies every night. What we are saying is that when you are out and about try and ask yourself if you could possibly do more to support your local business owners. It doesn’t take much to create a ripple effect.

Are there changes you have made or would like to make to support the locally owned businesses in your neighbourhood? We would love to hear from you. Your suggestions mean alot!
